Room Redo

I have a very good, trusting, amazing friend who asked me back in Sept to re-do a room in her home. She wanted it to be a hang out/game room/play room for her boys who are 13, 11, and 7. I had so much fun doing the room and this is the first time I have ever decorated for someone else. I wanted a room that would grow with her boys. The television and couch were already there. I painted and accessorized and left room for growth as they get new toys, games, and stuff... Here are the photos.... Sorry about the spots, we took the camera to the ocean a few weeks prior and I did not notice until I downloaded the photos that I had salt water spots on the camera...OOPSIES

Hi Family and Friends, I also wanted to say a little something about Arnie and I. It is so easy to talk about being Kejia's parents and how wonderful she is but wanted to give you a little update on us too.

Arnie is really enjoying his new career move. Besides work, he makes a lot of time in his schedule for play and that is the best medicine for him for any ailment...

He has been able to Sky Dive, Backpack, camp, waterski, jetski, wakeboard, surf, snow ski, cat ski, take Emily out on lots of dates (thank you to friends and family for babysitting), and take Kejia out on lots of dates too!!!

He is hard worker in between all of this play and we are thankful for that.

I love my friends and my family and miss those I am not near and love to be with those I am near. With all of our moving I feel like I am so blessed to have friends in so many places. When we first got here I started to clean houses again for some extra income but just recently quit cleaning houses (unfortunately not my own, ha ha ha) and now Kejia and I get to watch a darling little boy 4 days a week who is almost one and we love it. She gets sad when he has to go home in the evenings. I have loved all of the places we have called home. Thank you to all of you who have made it home for us. We have been blessed so much by our Father in Heaven and by our friends and family who work through him to help us.

I can't promise to keep up on this blog better but there is only room for improvement.

Whoaaaaa........ Kejia turned 5 a few months ago!!! Yes, I do deserve the worlds worst blogger award and if you agree with me, I don't want to hear about it.

She is smart, beautiful and so so so kind hearted. She never wants anyone to feel left out. She is also quite a little helper. Some new things she has learned this year; how to ride her bike without training wheels, cross the monkey bars at all the parks, recognizes and can write and knows the sounds of all of her letters and can write her numbers up to 30 and can count to 100. Last summer her dad taught her swim lessons and she has been able to swim and dive for dive toys since last june. Also last June she hiked a 3 1/2 mile hike without needing to be carried. This summer we will be attempting her first back packing trip! She is amazing. She is growing up so fast in so many ways and we are trying to enjoy each moment.

Not sure if Kindergarten this coming fall will be harder for Kejia or for mom!!! I am already shedding some tears. I will miss my little girl while she is at big kid school.

We are so blessed to be her parents and love every moment of it.

Kejia's activities for the summer include at least bike riding and swimming and even sometimes doing them together. For sure the goggles help her see better while she is riding her bike at the pool. She is a really funny girl. Arnie has decided to give her swim lessons this summer. Seems to be going well for the two of them.

We were all cow people as Kejia would say. Kejia was a cow girl, Mom was a "cow mom" and dad was "cow dad." Kejia is so much like her mom in the way she loves candy. We loved Halloween.

She is the cutest cow girl I have ever seen. She was so "essited" (excited) to go trick or treating.

Look what happened to us after we went to Honey I shrunk the audience. It was quite a problem walking back to our car after this and we could hardly see over the stearing wheel!

Obviously this was before the Shrinking Audience. Just warning those of you on your way to a Disney Vacation caution before entering honey I shrunk the audience.

Splash Mountain, poor Kejia we bribed her and told her we would get her a winnie the pooh stuffed animal if she rode this. She was quite frightened. Her favorite ride was Small World and she is so cute on it.

Shawn and Jacque came to spend a week and we had our family vacations together. We had a wonderful time. It was packed full of amuzement parks and lots of laughs.

Our first day of Vacation at the Wild Animal Park. We were just starting our 8 mile a day walking adventure but we ate so much junk we made up for all that walking. We had so much fun together...

My Birthday we spent in San Diego for the weekend. My brother Troy and Tina were there that weekend too. We got to see them a couple of times but of course I forgot to get pics with them:(

Riley and Natalie came for a weekend!!! (Arnie's sister Jill's kids) We had a great time. We made our own shaped pizzas. Riley's was a star, Nattie's a heart and Kejia's a triangle!!!
Arnie and I built and painted this bookshelf for Kejia's room. We are proud of it.

Our beautful girl on her first day of pre-school. She loves it.

This is her pre-school buddy Kandrea. They are great friends. This was their first day of school. I teach one day a week and Kandrea's mom teaches one day a week. We are enjoying teaching them too.

Mission Return for Emily's Parents August 2009

They are here. Just pulling up after an 18month mission in Knoxville, TN. As soon as the kids saw the cars they ran down the street to them. It was so awesome.

Everyone was so excited to welcome Grandma and Papa home. We all got together for a fun weekend at the cabin with Mom and Dad. We had a great time and are so happy to have them back. We loved them being on a mission too and to hear all of their experiences.

Arnie and I don't have a lot of pictures together recently but now Kejia is wanting to take pics. So she wanted to take a silly one. So here we are. This is in San Diego in September but I am putting it in July. The reason is because we celebrated our 9 year anniversary in July and don't have any pics from July. We did have a great couple of days to celebrate and Kejia went to play with her cousins. It was the first time in 9 years that we have spent our anniversary with just eachother. It is so close to the 4th of July that we are usually with Arnie's family or my family. We love our families but we love "our" time too. Thanks Joy, Scott and girls for the couple day break.

The shaky bridge, we were at this park for a long time and could have stayed even longer. It is a great park and a kids dream.

Monterey in July 2009

Lunch Time, well of course she got the sucker after lunch!!! We ate at this great place in Monterey and spent a weekend there in July with Banya(Arn's mom).
After the Monterey Aquarium, we went for a walk along the water.

We all loved the Aquarium.

Banya got a new puppy and Kejia was in heaven. Kejia got to name the puppy Sally. She held Sally the whole time we were there.

This was on the way to Monterey, Kejia is so good at entertaining herself. She was cracking us up and at one point her shovels were people and she was making them have conversations back and forth and using different voices for them.

Camping in Seqouia June 2009

Two camping Trips back to back in Seqouia National Park. First one was with our fab family Joy(Arn's sister), Scott(Joy's husband) and girs and Banya(Arn's mom). This was for Father's Day Weekend. We had a great time, did some hiking(well Kejia and I didn't hike quite as far as the rest of the group) and did some swimming in this great secret place we like to call the gulch or the gorge and we slide down the slippery rocks on the river. There is even a waterfall we like to jump from but I have to say I didn't do the waterfall this year. The following weekend we went back and met our Paso friends there. It was great. We love Seqouia and we saw lots of bears, enjoyed ourselves by the campfire and played.

Kejia and I were able to meet Troy(Em's brother), Tina, and kids at Magic Mountain in Mid June. Arnie had to work and we missed him especially because he loves Magic Mountain the most. We had such a great time with the family and if you know me watching them all go on roller coasters was enough thrill for me and if you don't know me, yes I am a baby. The Troy Clark family has no fear, they were in heaven at Magic Mountain.

Farmers Market with our Paso Peeps in June!!! I know I haven't posted in forever. We have so much fun there and eat lots of yummy food. We love our friends too. It is nice to be near them and be able to visit them. The kids are enjoying the food and had so much fun playing and running around.

We have been camping twice this summer in Sequoia National Park. We had a great time. Kejia is a good camper and we are working on her hiking. She loves sleeping in a tent and bear hunting. Bears were found on both camping trips.

Arnie had to work in Berkeley for a day and Kejia and I went along. Kejia and Mommy got to go to the Oakland Zoo and then to the Temple. It was a great day. Too bad daddy had to work but we are so thankful for a good career.

We moved and are enjoying our new city. I know I have been the worlds worst blogger and now hopefully I can start doing better. I was never really good at it to begin with but here goes another try. Since I last wrote Kejia turned three, is now potty trained, yippee!!!, we moved, Arnie has a new career and is enjoying it, Emily is enjoying rearranging and decorating, and trying to get organized. We are meeting wonderful people and are closer to Arnie's family who we have seen a little more than before. We miss Emily's family and hope they know how much we miss them. We are looking forward to summer, spending time with family and friends, camping, boating and some relaxing (maybe). Hopefully we will get to see most of you soon!

I can't believe Kejia is 3 years old already. She is growing up way too fast. She had a 'Curious George' Party this weekend with some of her cousins. She is a very social girl and always is asking...what are we doing next, where are we going next, who is coming over to play, where can she go play, can we have a party???? This morning she asked is it still my Birthday? She loves being the center of attention as much as we love her to be! We watch her and can't believe how big she is and wonder where all the time went. Kejia loves reading and movies. She has made up her own version of rockband and she really rocks out. Look above for her costume attire for homemade rock band by Kejia. She loves M&M's and she calls them NanN's. In the evenings when we take out her hair she loves to have crazy hair time. I will post a photo of crazy hair too. She is enjoying skiing more and more everytime we get to go. Her daddy is very excited about that. She is already better than her mommy at skiing! We borrowed a leash from a friend this past time and she skied great with it.

Kejia loves Christmas, well everything but Santa. She wants nothing to do with Santa. She loves the candy, pretty lights, decorating the tree, wrapping presents, playing with the nativities and talking about baby Jesus, looking at toys and telling us what she wants for Christmas. It is so fun to see Christmas through a child. She is the best and we love her to pieces.

We just had some family pictures taken a few weeks ago. My friend did a great job. She did this vintage look on the photos and I just love it.

New Family News - - -Potty Training well I don't think Kejia is ready just yet. She was this past spring but I wasn't and now I wish I had been cause now I am ready and she isn't. So hopefully soon we can work it out. She is so darn cute, if I can brag about my daughter. We were recently at dinner and she ask the waiter "Do you have Noo Noo's (noodles)" This is the first time she has tried to order herself and it was so cute we laughed and she got really embarrassed. She sometimes is such a big girl. I can't believe how fast she grows and catches on to everything. The other day she asked me for a green cut. Sure but what is that Kejia. She calls her little plastic knives cuts and green is her most favorite color and she "loves green really bad." She is a crack up. She is a little talker and always has been. She loves her cousins, they are her friends and she loves Frank (our dog). Every prayer she says includes Grandparents, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and Frank. If we are saying the prayer she reminds us to say these and keeps reminding us until we do. She absolutely loves going to church and especially nursery and she loves loves loves her nursery teacher. She drew her a green picture and wanted to walk to her house in the wagon and take her green cookies. Yep, green is her favorite color. She also started swimming lessons last month and she loves them. She is a good little swimmer and loves having daddy daughter swim lessons. She continues to love dance and has her first little performance this Tuesday in her lady bug Halloween costume. I can't wait to watch her. Stay posted for pictures.

PUMPKIN DAYS

Kejia loves the pumpkin patch and she remembers everything about halloween from last year. She thnks it is so cool that each house gives you candy. She is a chocohollic. Dance and Curlers

Kejia just had her first day of ballet class. She loved it. She also experienced her first day of curlers. She wasn't patient enough to keep the curlers in too long so her hair didn't get too curly. She (Lubs) Loves dance class!

Time Spent in North Idaho, We took a Gondola ride up Silver Mt with a picnic. Kejia loved the gondola and chair lifts that we rode. She was taking pictures with the camera and wanted to take one of momma and dada. She loves the (Clamela) this is how she says camera.

We love the Hiawatha Bike Trail which starts in Montana and ends in Idaho. Kejia loves it most of the time but gets a little anxious in the tunnels. This picture is just after the first tunnel which is 2 miles long and pitch black with out flashlights. She loves being outside!!!

We have had a fun filled summer visiting famiy and friends and having family and friends visit us. We had a fun campout this summer at Glacier National Park. We saw lots of wildlife and went on some hikes. Kejia is a great camper. She loves it. She is a good little hiker too.
